6 Days Marangu Route – Climb Kilimanjaro with Expert Guides

About the route

The Marangu route, affectionately dubbed the Coca-Cola route due to its widespread appeal among tourists, boasts a unique charm with its traditional sleeping huts. These huts, which were originally used by climbers and served as shelters along the journey, also used to offer refreshments including the iconic Coca-Cola. This historical association adds to the route's allure, making it a popular choice for those seeking a blend of adventure and nostalgia.

One of the notable features of the Marangu route is its gradual ascent, which provides climbers with a steady and manageable progression towards the summit of Kilimanjaro. This gentle incline not only offers a more comfortable experience for trekkers but also contributes to its reputation as the fastest route to reach the peak.

Moreover, the availability of sleeping huts along the way adds to the convenience and accessibility of the Marangu route. These huts provide shelter and basic amenities, offering climbers a comfortable resting place during their journey. This aspect of the route makes it particularly appealing to those who prefer a more structured and organized trekking experience.
